Here's something most people don't think about when they look at their bank account.
Proverbs 13:22 says, "A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children."
In other words, the way that you handle money today affects more than just today.
Now, the biblical picture of generational wealth is a lot bigger than just a savings account. It includes the faith, wisdom, and family testimonies that are given to the next generation.
But it also includes provision. Real, practical provision that gives the next generation a foundation to stand on instead of a hole to climb out of.
Money is not the most important thing in life. But it affects so many things that are important – education, opportunity, stability, generosity. When you handle it with wisdom today, you're giving your kids and grandkids a head start you may not have had.
And here's the exciting part: this isn't only for people who are already wealthy.
Stewardship starts with what’s in your hand.
And that means good stewardship can start right now.
Every time you choose to save instead of impulse-spend – every time you budget instead of wing it – you're laying a brick in a foundation that lasts.
Practical step: Pray and seek the Lord about this question: "Am I making financial decisions based only on my day-to-day, or am I building toward something that lasts beyond me?” Find an area where you can start thinking long-term with God.
Big idea: Steward what’s in your hand. Everybody who comes after you will feel the impact of that choice.
